Maker's Assistant by 2LFCO Book a 20-minute call

Your shop's back office, in one email before breakfast.

Maker's Assistant reads your Shopify, Etsy and Faire numbers every day. Around 7:30 in the morning, your time, you get a short email: the few decisions waiting on you, each with a name and a number.

It's a managed service for small maker brands. We set it up and we run it. You read the email, make the calls, and get back to making things.

An example. The shop, products and numbers are made up.

What it does

Five jobs that eat a maker's morning. Each one shows up on your own dashboard, and the ones that need you show up in the email.

The morning email

The decisions waiting on you, most urgent first: stock about to run out, what to order now, listing drafts to approve, an ad that's losing money, a channel that needs reconnecting. Every line names the thing and gives the number. A sales line appears only when the sales data actually loaded.

Sales by channel

Shopify retail, Shopify wholesale, Etsy and Faire, month to date and last 30 days, with your best sellers. One definition of sales everywhere. If Etsy or Faire orders are copied into Shopify, they aren't counted twice.

Stock to reorder

When each item runs out at its current pace across all your channels, how many to order, and the date to order by, using your suppliers' lead times. Made-to-order items aren't flagged for having no stock. Products Shopify doesn't track are named, not guessed at.

Ads and email

Google Ads, Meta and Klaviyo: what you spent and what it brought back over the last 30 days. Campaigns that are losing money are named, so you know which one to look at.

Listing rewrites

Better titles and descriptions for Etsy, Faire and Shopify, written in your brand voice and following each platform's rules. They stay drafts until you approve them. A draft that invents a size or a count is thrown out before you see it. If another tool already edits your listings, we switch to suggestions only and never write to your store.

Behind all of it is an action log: every login, every AI call and every change, with a time and a name. The AI costs are included in your monthly fee, with a monthly cap so they can't run away.

Fewer tools, not one more

The goal is simple: Shopify, plus this. Every other app you pay for each month should stop being necessary.

  • Today it replaces the spreadsheets you track sales and reorders in, separate sales dashboards, and bulk listing editors.
  • Next: your inventory system and your bookkeeping app. We move a shop off those only after our own shop has run without them for 90 days. We'd rather be late than lose your numbers.
  • Shipping labels stay where they are for now (ShipStation or similar).
  • It never sends anything to your customers.
  • It never asks for a password. You sign in with Face ID or Touch ID.
  • There's no software to install.

How setup works

Your part is about 30 minutes of clicks. The rest is ours.

Every shop gets its own walled-off setup: its own database and its own keys. No other shop can see your data.

  1. A 20-minute call. We look at how you sell and whether this fits.
  2. A short kickoff form. Your shop, who gets access, your time zone, supplier lead times, your brand voice and the words you never use.
  3. We build your copy of the system. Its own database, its own keys, its own address.
  4. You save a passkey and press Connect. Shopify first. You approve access on Shopify's own page. No passwords change hands.
  5. We check every number against your Shopify admin. To the penny, before we call it live.
  6. The morning email starts.

What connects today

Straight answer: Shopify works from day one. The others need approvals from each platform before shops other than ours can connect, and they connect as those approvals come through. Until then, your dashboard says plainly which ones are waiting on us, not on you.

One thing to know about Meta: it makes you reconnect about every two months. The dashboard tells you when.

It fits best if you run your own maker brand, Shopify is your store, and you also sell on Etsy or Faire.

Who's behind it

2LFCO is Two Little Fruits Co, a maker brand in Denver. We sell mugs, tea towels, cards and stickers on Shopify, Etsy and Faire, and we had the same morning you do: five tabs, three spreadsheets, and a nagging feeling something was about to run out.

So we built this for ourselves first. It runs Two Little Fruits' own business every morning. Now we set it up and run it for a few other maker brands.

Want to see if it fits your shop?

Twenty minutes, no slides. We'll ask how you sell, show you the morning email and dashboard, and tell you honestly whether it's worth it for you.
